Dear Participants,
The Symposium on Circular Economy, Waste Management, and Sustainability (DASS 2025) will be held on October 30–31, 2025. The symposium aims to bring together scientists, educators, artists, and representatives from the private sector in a multidisciplinary environment, to share and discuss both theoretical and practical knowledge within a scientific framework. Abstract submissions are welcome.
All submitted abstracts will undergo a peer-review process. Authors who wish to publish extended versions of their full-text papers may submit them for further evaluation. After the editorial and peer-review process, selected papers presented at the symposium will be published in the Journal of Engineering and Basic Sciences (JOEBS) on April 15, 2026, in Volume 04. Additionally, selected papers will be published as an e-ISBN proceedings book following the symposium.
The Symposium on Circular Economy, Waste Management, and Sustainability (DASS 2025), which we will organize on October 30–31, 2025, will be held in a hybrid format (both in-person and online) at Mersin University Uğur Oral Cultural Center. Online presentations will take place on October 31.

Application
When you select the "Application" section on the website https://dass2025.com/, you will be directed to the CMT system where you need to create an account. -
Starting a New Submission
After creating an account, log in to the “Author Console”.
Then, click on “Create new submission” to begin the paper submission process. -
File Upload
Files must be uploaded in the following order:- Payment Receipt – A refund will be provided for papers that are not accepted.
- Abstract / Summary – for Poster or Oral Presentation
- Full Text – for Poster or Oral Presentation

REGISTRATION / ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
Evaluation of Abstracts
Evaluation will be carried out by the Symposium Scientific Committee members assigned according to the subject area of the abstracts. For abstracts to be considered, at least one of the researchers must have completed the symposium registration process.
Symposium Language
The symposium languages are Turkish and English. Presentations can be made online (for those outside the Mersin region) or face-to-face.
Acceptance Letter
Acceptance letters for approved abstracts will be sent to the email addresses by October 21, 2025.
Abstract Format
- Full names of the authors should be written clearly, and the name and surname of the presenting researcher must be in bold and underlined.
- The names and addresses of the institutions where the authors work must be specified.
- The first letter of each word in the abstract title should be capitalized. The title must fully reflect the content of the study.
- The abstract should be written under the headings: Aim, Material and Method, Results, Conclusion.
- If abbreviations are used in the abstract, their full forms should be given in parentheses.
- The aim of the study and the methods used should be briefly stated; results should be summarized with sufficient numerical details, and conclusions should be explained based on the presented findings.
- The entire abstract, excluding the title and authors’ names, should not exceed 350 words. At least three keywords must be included.
- The type of presentation (oral or poster) should be indicated.
- Oral presentations will last 10 minutes. Posters will be displayed on boards.
- Abstracts should be prepared in Microsoft Word using “Times New Roman” font, size 10, with 1.5 line spacing, and justified alignment.

Event Forms
Bildirilerin Değerlendirilmesi
Değerlendirme, bildirilerin alanına uygun olarak belirlenen Sempozyum Bilim Kurulu üyelerince yapılacaktır. Bildirilerin değerlendirmeye alınabilmesi için araştırmacılardan en az birinin sempozyum kayıt işleminin tamamlanmış olması gerekmektedir.
Sempozyum Dili
Sempozyum dili Türkçe ve İngilizce’dir. Sunumlar Online (Mersin sınırları dışında) veya yüz yüze yapılabilecektir.
Kabul Belgesi
Kabul edilen bildiriler için kabul belgesi 21 Ekim 2025 tarihine kadar mail adreslerine gönderilecektir.
Bildiri Özeti Formatı
- Yazarların açık ad ve soyadları yazılmalı, sunum yapacak araştırmacının adı ve soyadı kalın yazı tipinde ve altı çizili olmalıdır.
- Yazarların çalıştıkları kurumların ad ve adresleri mutlaka belirtilmelidir.
- Özet başlığında kelimelerin ilk harfi büyük yazılmalıdır. Bildiri başlığı çalışma içeriğini tam olarak yansıtmalıdır.
- Özet; Amaç, Materyal ve Yöntem, Bulgular, Sonuç başlıkları kullanılarak yazılmalıdır.
- Özet içinde kısaltma kullanılması halinde, kısaltmanın açık adı parantez içinde belirtilmelidir.
- Özette çalışmanın amacı ve kullanılan yöntemler kısaca belirtilmeli, bulgular yeterli sayısal ayrıntıyla birlikte özetlenmeli ve sunulan bulgular çerçevesinde sonuç açıklanmalıdır.
- Özetin tamamı, başlık adı, yazarın adı, soyadı hariç olmak üzere 350 kelimeyi geçmemelidir. En az üç anahtar kelime kullanılmalıdır.
- Bildiri türünün sözlü ya da poster sunum olduğu belirtilmelidir.
- Sözlü sunumların süresi 10 dakikadır. Posterler panolara asılacaktır.
